Is there a way to turn off the time limit?

Can’t save anymore. Very disappointing, seems like a simple thing to fix. Oh well.

This game hasn’t been updated in 7 years. (I should have checked before buying.) Hopelessly broken now. Don’t. Waste. Your. Time. Or. Money.

The game is great. I’ve spent hours playing it. I would love to be able to save my game. Also, it would be great to have the option to skip the battle animation. It makes the game take too long.

Seeing the same issues as another poster - game auto-saves do not work; if you exit the app and it’s swapped out of memory, it starts over with a new game.

Features such as resuming your last game as well as saving and loading DO NOT WORK. There is no indication that this is the case. I get not supporting a free product, but you are charging money for this. If you break part of an app you sell, you should correct that issue.

I loved this game. Lots of time spent playing it. Unfortunately now it is unusable. The game no longer saves your progress ending games partway through, with no way to resume.

After downloading the game I found that I can’t save my game at all. There are save slots you get directed to when you make the attempt but they don’t actually store information. Unfortunately, that makes the game pretty useless.

Could use an update to accommodate the notch but other than that. Perfect game.

With the latest update of iOS, the save function does not work. If you exit the game, it does not allow continued game either. Very frustrating….

Played this game for years. Love it, simple, no WiFi needed. No adds. Unfortunately the latest update took away the save feature now games have to be finished in one sitting. Not realistic. Load slot does not work.

You lost the ability to save from the early 2025 update…check Reddit for more info. It is mid march and they have not corrected. This makes it virtually unplayable. Hopefully they correct soon. Will change review back to 5 stars then as I love this game but it’s not playable anymore.

Update: this game no longer saves or loads on iOS 18. Original review: I have played civ rev for a very long time and just downloaded this one. I love it. It is more like an expansion of the original game. That said, either i cannot sell units or I haven’t figured out how to.

I’ve enjoyed this game for years until a recent update. The touch function of the game now no longer works well and the movement of the characters has been severely impacted. This needs to be fixed asap.

You can no longer “Resume” the game after turning it off. Even worse, you can’t save a game. This was my favorite iPad game - gonna have to find something else now.

A great game but the save feature is broken with the new IOS update. With games lasting so long, it’s really a game wrecker.

If you plan on playing the whole game through in one sitting without putting your phone down every time you play then you’ll enjoy.

I cant save my game!

The save doesn’t work AT ALL. Part of the screen is cut off by the island on newer iPhones. There are various bugs throughout the game itself too but those are the main bugs. Also game endings are extremely unsatisfying. No replay no stats no nothing. A very incomplete game

An awesome reboot of the original Civ. Not overly complicated and complex like the later civ games. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

What’s the point?

For the last few months this game has been unable to save, destroying the gameplay experience and the sole purpose of purchasing the app.

“If that steps didn't work then we've exhausted the troubleshooting, so I want to thank you for the report but there are no further steps for us to try together. “ Is the last not I got from support. The game no longer saves on iOS 18+.. so if your on the latest version then it will not save games. Simply doesn’t work.

Love the game! Have always been a big fan of the civ games but wish a update would come out to fix the save issue

Played the first revolution and got hooked and played a little bit of civ 6 and just downloaded this game on my phone to play wherever. Would recommend!

The last update was a while ago. The glitches remain. No communication from developer.

Basically pointless to get (for IOS at least) unless you plan on playing all of your games, start to finish, in one sitting. If it included the absolute basics like being able to save your game, it’d be pretty solid.

Developer has not updated in seven years. Game no longer restores previous state or allows saving state. Frustrating.

This game, while usually very fun, has been broken for months. Saving and loading games no longer works, making it practically unplayable. There are Reddit threads devoted to commiserating about this issue but still no action. As such, it is certainly not worth playing or downloading until the issue is fixed. Such a shame!

I love that this in on mobile, and I hate mobile games. So much fun.

The game is great, extremely addictive, but it wont save your game when you try to do it. Hopefully they fix this bug

I bought this game a many years ago and played a lot. Recently I was playing and the game doesn’t save automatically nor manually. I sent an email to the developer and received troubleshooting information. I had already tried most suggestions. I tried the rest with no results. Would be a great game if you could save.

The last update has removed the option to continue a game that was played before the app was put to sleep to save memory and also the save games do not work either. Other than that I can still play the game to completion as long as I don’t wait too long between sessions.
