Wish the time lapse was better but still a good game.
Wish the time lapse was better but still a good game.
When I bought it, I assumed it was at least equivalent to CIV IV. Its graphics are good, and I like the new units, buildings, and nations. However, I dislike that there are only four nations in one game for instance. The aforementioned pros are really the only thing that sets it apart from Civilizations Revolution I. As the latter costs $2.99 anyway, I dont think $6.99 is the right price.
Exactly what I would expect as a fan of the Civilizations brand
Ive been playing civ since it first came into existence and this is a great version. No problems on my ipad and a great use off time.
There are no workers, and the fighting favors the upgraded unit very heavily. Closer to a pc cig game than I would have thought though.
Wrong text, with new update
No fonts, only ???
totally worth the money
As a Civ fan I found this to be a very passable mini version. I found the controls simple, the graphics sharp, gameplay smooth. All in all I really enjoyed this. Best of all it is thus far just as replayable as the pc version. Hats off to the creators
The graphical update has done nothing but slow the game down. I could play an entire game in under two hours, now Ill barely be in mid-game. Unit controls are less intuitive, especially if units are stacked on top of each other. Civ Rev 1 is much better, but 2K seems to have dropped support for it (possibly for this as well).
Nice play, but crashes frequently at end of game on my iPad 2.
Multiplayer (FOR FREE I ALREADY PAID 10 BUCKS) needs to be in civ rev 2. It makes the game 10x more fun and makes everyone enjoy it as much as humanly possible. Please Please Please make a multiplayer!
The game had achievements that are locked due to an update error. The CPU only knows about you (only attacks you and "never met" other civilizations). CPU rarely upgrades (cpu sends chariots to fight my tanks... Constantly).... If you want to laugh and be frustrated at the same time at the CPU, but this game.... Otherwise, play another....
Much like my personal favorite from the console version, Civilization Revolution 2 is definitely a game that you can get lost in for hours on end. Plenty of political leaders to choose from, diversity and replay ability due to the random map generator. It is a sure thing each time you play it will be a different experience. Whenever you decide to take over the world from the comfort of your phone or tablet, Im sure you will enjoy doing it.
As a child, my sister and I would play Civ for hours upon hours. Kept engaged every turn of the game, the makers of Civ outdid themselves bringing the experience, the nostalgia of Civ to mobile. Cant wait to play with friends when they release online play.
I played the first version of this game extensively and loved it. This version is to combersome and not as easily played as the first version. I have tried to play this several times and just gave up. Too much was put into graphics but it think it failed overall. The colors are dull and boring. Can you just update the first version and let me go back to playing that? Thanks!
Lot of fun to play, very different in some key ways from Civ 5 and the expansions. Some slightly confusing elements to the game still that are not explained in depth. Loads of fun in play, though!!!
My favorite go to game when I want to sit down and enjoy a game on my phone!
Amazing and worth every penny!
Much like Civ Rev for consoles this game although significantly watered down is a fun and easy way to enjoy the series and learn some of the simpler nuances of the more complex versions.
