I love this game. Its a great way to pass the time. But... every time I check, the nations dont know each other, which I find annoying. Maybe its a feature thats only available at higher difficulties, but it would be neat if even at lower difficulties the nations knew one another when asked, "What do you think of X leader?"
Great game just like the xbox edition, so much better then civ 1 on the phone
Love the game. Hope you have a CivRev 3 planned in the making
Such a shame. AI is inconsistent. The last straw for me was the super-catapult that shredded all of my superior units and took 3 cities. No rhyme or reason behind any of it. Randomly pre-determines whether or not you win or lose before your first move. This was on Deity level. Either impossible or incredibly easy. Pretty graphics. Battery meter visibly drains every second it runs. Deleted from my iPad Pro.
This game needs a lot of work. It is nowhere near or could even be considered similar to Sid Meiers other civilization games. I did not find it user friendly so I and up paying $10 for my frustration. Graphics were too cartoony-ish as well.
Better then the Xbox and PlayStation three version!
Seriously, dont waste your money. The developers have made it clear they dont care about this game; AI civs have no interaction, it really limits them - its unfathomable how this game has above 3 stars.
The tutorial is horrible. It shows you haw to move your military around but thats about it. I had to google everything else. The game is boring and not like a traditional civilization game. I very much wish I could get my money back.
There isnt much different other than new characters and warriors, but overall I love this game and play it all the time. Would love some new characters or no turn limit but otherwise great game.
Lots of fun, but I wish the buttons werent so small and also if it were as simple as the 360 version. Like a button for wait one turn, the buttons are just way too tiny especially on iPhone, if it got updated Id say its worth $10 but right now the price is just a bit too much
Ive dropped a star from my rating after playing this through a few times (original review after the break). Its still a fun little strategy game, but a few big flaws hamper repeat play: -far too easy. I can consistently beat this on hardest level (deity) without breaking a sweat. Its too easy because... -The AI is boring, passive and predictable. -Hard to find important details: am I at war? Whats my current government? Who knows? -military promotions are way too hard to read/see ------- This game is easy to play--a huge battery vampire, but fun so long as you can stay plugged in. The mechanics are easy to pick up and the graphics are a big improvement over the iOS original.
This isnt even close to the Civilization game Ive come to love! I hope that CIV VI is much better than this, I can deal with cheesy graphics and nonsense garble, but game was confusing, no map view and the game was really quick...almost too easy to win.
Not a comprehensive Civilization game, but darn near close. Excellent conversion to mobile platform in both UI and simplicity.
If you like the Xbox 360 version, youll love this.
Shorter but just as engaging
Loved civilization since civ1. Great adaptation to mobile. I wish there was still the review recap of civilization growth at the end showing the world map, and color spreadind , key events as each civilization advances
Civ is always great. This "fast" versions is sort of a funny fast-paced boardgame. It didnt get five stars because of minor bugs mainly at units promotions and a very slow unit upgrade mechanism. It may also be complicated to learn fort those not familiar with the computer version (or the PS3 at least), but nevertheless it remains as incredibly addictive as ever.
I really hoped this new version would not be so "arcade" - a huge disappointment. The world is so, so tiny that many of the strategies (scientific, cultural, space) seem to be uninteresting when so scarce land leads to a militarization of everything. As someone who wants to play real civ on my iPad I must say I did not like the choice the developers made... Other aspects such as graphics, sound and even the touch-related gameplay are really, really good.
Muitoooo bom
