For $10 I at least expect a competent AI

And my review is dropping. Do two things and this is a 4 star app: 1) allow skip combat 2) fix skip spaceship component building cutscene (skip selection doesnt work) Also please allow management of saves. There seems to be no way to delete without deleting the entire app. Finally, standard AI complaints. No interaction between each other.
The game wont download even though I have enough storage
Still great from Sid and team. We need a new version! Come on guys! :-)
This is an excellent version of Civ. Light. Both strategy and combat are simplified, but it works! The simplification works out wonderfully on a tablet. You can easily complete a game in a couple of hours, and have great fun the whole time. It is also awesome to have an ongoing quick pick up game when stuck at an office or in line.
But your turns are limited when moving military pieces.
I have been playing civilization since 1991, when it was a DOS game. This version reminds me of the DOS game with better graphics. I could not figure out how to rush construction, and there should be an option to click on stuff to find out what it does.
My battery dies so quick while playing should pay
Lots of fun, and the best part, no micro transactions.
The graphics are unbelievably choppy, The AI is poor in everything it does, but worst of all is the control scheme. The game will end my turns before im done, move my units where I dont want them, build something I didnt tell it to, bad game in general.
I am a huge fan of the series. This version stays pretty true to the original but needs a few fixes. 1. It is difficult to see how many troops you have in a city. You have to select a troop that is showing and arrow through them. Not very efficient. 2. Customizing your work force is a challenge. Although it is set up to look like the original it does not function the same. The effect of changes is not obvious. 3. The AI is not challenging. On the Console version playing on Emperor or Deity was a considerable challenge in war and diplomacy. Not so with this version. Your enemy may attack a few times but will back off if they do not win. Diplomacy is almost non-existent.
Dont know why people are giving this a bad review yes it needs a small update but other than that for $10 you really cant ask for a better handheld version of civilization Game handles nice graphics are bad some minor glitches nothing that prevents you from playing the game or accomplishing what you want all an all its a five out of five for me
Want to play with a friend but cannot
I truly missed this game when we sold our XBox for the PS4. Both my husband and I were thrilled to find it now! Its just like I remembered. I only wish we could okay multiplayer together.
The game can be fun, especially if youre already a Civ fan. It is paced nicely for a mobile platform. However, there are some important updates needed to warrant playing more than 2 or 3 times. 1) The AI needs an upgrade. Ive played twice, and crushed it both times on the hardest setting. Ive never beat hardest setting of PC version. 2) include option for bigger map. 3) Annoying bug with UI where city view does not show upgrades to production for certain buildings, even though they are accounted for in total. 4) Obviously, diplomacy code isnt done yet. 5) Would be nice to have a couple of units with attack range greater than 1 There are a dozen other tweaks I could suggest, but this list would be a good start
